Stunning labradorite! Love, love, love?The polish was a bit weak and the flash is hard to get to work as the angle is tiny and hard to flash. For the cost It should be alot betterIt's always a crap shoot with this kind of purchase, because no one item is the same and taste in appearance differs vastly. That said, I took a chance and purchased a stone in the 16-20 oz class. It arrived 4 or 5 days later. I opted for standard shipping. It was well protected. The stone at first was a little underwhelming. It had 6 distinct sides to it, even though the stone was rounded and polished nicely. It is wider at the base and tapers toward the top. It's about 4.5" tall. Overall it's larger than I thought it would be. One side, the one I call the front now...had a nice flash to it. Primarily gold with blue borders, it covers about 60% of the side and wraps around the top left and bottom right corners. Upon closer inspection, I was finding little bits of flash here and there. Taking it outside into the sun, I found all kinds of subtle and not so subtle flashes across another 3 sides. I seem to find new color every time I pick up the stone to marvel at it. This stone has really grown on me and I realize now, I got a real keeper! It is also finely cracked in many places, like tiny thin veins. I think the cracks, with the polish to set them off, really give the stone character. Unfortunately though, because of these cracks, I'm pretty certain if this stone was ever dropped....it would shatter into hundreds of pieces. So be careful! That's OK, it's still a great beauty. I'm going to order a few more...probably in the smallest size, to use in an epiphyte garden arrangement I've made. If most are like my stone, this is a great deal and a quality product. Would love to see some primarily blue stones if there are any out there. Thanks very much for my Labradorite.Update: I've ordered another 4 pieces in the same size and all of them have something good going on. Out of the additional 4, one is less intense than the others, but it's still a nice stone. I've found you have to unlock the secrets to these stones as there is something to find on everysurface...you just have to hit the piece with light at the right angle. Most will have at least one "show" side where there is obvious flash going on. The rest you might have to look for. I still find something new, with every piece, every time I pick it up and look at it. These are amazing stones and the fun for me is looking for all the good angles there are to get every color flash I can get. If you get a stone and it doesn't look like much...you probably just haven't got the right angles down yet. These are beauties well worth the money. I may buy a few more!The local crystal shop was charging $80 for a stone this size. So I took a blind shot and luckily I got exactly what I wanted. I ordered the 1.3 to 1.5lb size and got a 1.4lb stone. It’s polished and has beautiful color. Very quick shipment as well. I recommend this sellerFlash can only be seen on one side , I tried many angles and light but still only on the one side , the bottom is not polished at all leaving it with an unfinished feel. Was also hoping it would be at as big as the one pictured but was much smaller. Better prices and stones are out there.I ordered one and loved it so much that I ordered a second which is actually even prettier than the first. A nice weight and so much gorgeous flash.Okay, let's get something straight here... I LOVE LABRADORITE! It just soothes me, but I'm a nature girl. I love being outdoors, so getting a hunk of this stone already gets 5 stars in my book, but I am writing this review for potential buyers, not for myself. I was a little sad because my stone did not compare in the quality shown in this picture. For those looking for a stone like in the picture I would advise you to be aware that it might not be the stone you get. I am attaching photos to show you want I am talking about, the first 2 are of first side and photo 3 & 4 are of second side of the stone, the last photo is of the huge white splotch on the first side... As you can see, in the light the first side is very beautiful when held at a certain angle, but the second side has so many streaks of white that it does not have such an iridiscent quality regardless of the angle. Anyhow, I would order again from this company if I knew the second stone would be more like the one in their displayed photo.... as I just adore labradorite. I hope this review helped some of you!I was less than disappointed with this stone. It should have been smooth all around but the bottom is cut off leaving a rough not entirely flat surface.
